For those who demand the optimum pedal and power interface, the 2027 Shimano Dura-Ace PD-R9300 with standard length axle is ready to deliver. Redesigned, this flagship road racing pedal is engineered for riders who want maximum stability, efficient power transfer and smooth rotation with every pedal stroke.

Shimano have now improved the design to deliver the SPD-SLR interface that features an ultra-wide platform and ultra-low stack height to create a more direct connection between shoe, cleat and pedal. The reduced distance between the foot and axle improves stability and helps transfer power efficiently, particularly when riding at race intensity.

You'll find an integrated stainless steel contact plate increases interface stiffness and durability, while the injection-moulded carbon-composite body keeps weight low without compromising the large, supportive platform.

The Shimano PD-R9300 features a heat-treated axle and ultra-smooth bearing surfaces with wide bearings designed to distribute loads more evenly. SHIMANO claims an 11% increase in stiffness and a 53% reduction in rotational resistance compared with the previous-generation pedal system.

The pedals are supplied with CL-SL110 3 degree float cleats.

Lower Stack Height 
At the heart of SPD-SLR is a completely new cleat-to-pedal interface. By redesigning both the pedal platform and the cleat, SHIMANO has reduced stack height by 2.3 mm, bringing the rider’s foot closer to the pedal axle than ever before. That shorter distance creates a more stable pedaling platform, improves power transfer and enhances bike control whether climbing, sprinting or riding at threshold.

Faster Engagement 
Connecting with the pedal should feel immediate. SPD-SLR introduces a wider catch zone together with a narrower 10.5° engagement angle, compared with 15.5° on SPD-SL, allowing riders to clip in more naturally and confidently while accelerating away from traffic lights, restarting after corners or launching into a sprint.

Lighter by Design 
The redesigned SPD-SLR cleats weigh up to 25% less than their SPD-SL equivalents while maintaining the durability expected from SHIMANO’s race-proven road platform.
